Michael Bennet is the Co-Founder & President of OceanBit and a co-organizer of Honolulu BitDevs. Born and raised in Hawaii, he discovered Bitcoin while residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through his interactions with Bitcoin enthusiasts from various regions, including the US, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, Michael was inspired to establish a Bitcoin meetup in Hawaii in 2020, which eventually grew into Honolulu BitDevs, the largest Bitcoin meetup in the state. In 2022, he co-founded OceanBit, a company that harnesses ocean thermal energy, the world’s largest untapped energy source, utilizing Bitcoin.
