Nathaniel Harmon

Nathaniel Harmonn received an M.S. in Marine Geology and Geochemistry from the University of Hawai‘i Manoa. His research focused on autonomous oceanographic instrument development and micro-fluidic chemical engineering. Following he worked on proposals and research around the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative, founded Blockchain Solutions Hawaii a Bitcoin software development and consulting firm, helped found the Hawaiian Islands Conservation Collective with his wife in an effort to harness locally educated scientists to restore native Hawaiian ecosystems, and is the inventor of Demand Response OTEC. Today Nathaniel combines his formal education with his passion as the co-founder and CEO of OceanBit where he works to solve Hawai’i and the worlds energy problems by combining ocean thermal energy and Bitcoin.
